Description
CliniGut Plain is an absorbable natural sterile surgical suture manufactured from uniform, twisted strands of collagen derived from purified bovine intestine. The sutures are spun and polished into a uniform near monofilament-like strand, allowing ease of passage through tissue and excellent knot security.
Indications
CliniGut Plain suture is indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures, but not for use in cardiovascular and neurological tissues. Ideal for tissues which heal rapidly and require minimum support, including:
- Ligating superficial blood vessels
- Suturing subcutaneous fatty tissue
- Urological procedures
- Gastro-intestinal procedures
- Oral surgery
- Obstetrical and Gynaecological procedures
