The Contec HMS6500 is a vital signs monitor with remote self-examination and monitoring functions. For self-examination, the user enters a user name and password on the soft keyboard. After verification, ECG, SpO2, PR, NIBP, TEMP and blood glucose can be measured. The measured data can be transmitted over a network to experts for consultation, and can also be uploaded to a data centre where the user can view detailed data and the ECG within 10 seconds. Members have different service items, and users registered with a telephone number can receive result messages.
The monitor is described as offering high cost performance, high safety and low consumption. To ensure monitoring quality and reduce operating risk, it uses full isolation (floating), ECG defibrillation-proof protection, ECG anti-high-frequency interference and dual NIBP over-pressure protection. It is applicable for monitoring adult, paediatric and neonatal patients.
