A replacement air control (release) valve for manual sphygmomanometers, for when the cuff will not hold pressure or deflates unevenly.
Replacement air control valve.
The control valve sits between the inflation bulb and the tubing. Closing it lets the bulb inflate the cuff; opening it slowly lets the cuff deflate at a controlled rate while you listen for Korotkoff sounds. A worn valve that leaks or sticks makes readings unreliable, so it is worth replacing.
