A digital EEG system that records brain electrical activity from scalp electrodes and displays it as colour-depth brain maps. It is intended for clinicians checking conditions such as epilepsy, intracranial inflammation, cerebrovascular disease and brain tumours.
The Contec KT88-3200 Digital Brain Electric Activity Mapping system collects EEG signals with electrodes, using integrated amplification, A/D conversion, automatic PC analysis and FFT to produce an electroencephalogram displayed with colour depth. It is applicable for checking conditions such as epilepsy, intracranial inflammation, cerebrovascular diseases and brain tumours.

Key features

  • 10/20 electrode placement under the international standard system. Leads can be changed during replay, and different combined lead types are supported during sampling.
  • Bioelectricity amplifier for acquiring brainwaves, with continuous recording of up to 24 hours and an integrated fully automatic calibration system.
  • Playback with adjustable amplitude and display speed. A subdividing time line divides each second of waveform into 5 parts to make review easier.
  • Digital filter system that can be set as required, with different window types.
  • EEG signal clipping: any section of the EEG wave can be analysed and stored, and several waveform segments can be selected for automatic analysis and extraction of parameters.
  • Electronic frequency ruler with a partial enlarging window for measuring EEG period, amplitude and frequency of any chosen waveform.
  • Colour-coded marking of eyes open, eyes closed and flash events. User-defined events can be added and waveform colour for evoked events can be set, so the corresponding waveform can be found by event name during case playback.
  • Automatic analysis, including power spectrum analysis and pathologic wave detection for a chosen waveform. Several graphs can be shown on the same screen, including BEAM types, numerical BEAM, compressed spectrum graph and trend graph.
  • Professional isolation transformer, dual power supply isolation system and optoelectronic data transmission for safety. Data is transmitted by USB interface.
  • USB multifunctional flash stimulator, controlled manually or automatically. A flash stimulation scheme can be set and run during sampling.
  • Case management functions for research and quick statistics, with case export and import, and storage on MO or CD-RW disk.
  • Integrated image and character report, editable by template and switchable to a Word document.
  • Case files can be converted to EDF and BDF data formats for data exchange, academic exchange and further analysis.
  • System parameters and display modes can be set to user requirements.
  • Marks and annotations can be added to designated waveforms so the waveform at that time can be found quickly.
  • Optional video function using a USB camera, with playback that lets users browse the waveform of any time together with the synchronously sampled image.
  • Optional SpO2 function.
Not all optional functions are available in all regions.
