All Medical EquipmentA digital EEG system that records brain electrical activity with electrodes and displays it as a colour-depth electroencephalogram. It is intended for clinicians checking conditions such as epilepsy, intracranial inflammation, cerebrovascular diseases and brain tumours.
The Contec KT88 Digital Brain Electric Activity Mapping system collects EEG signals with electrodes. Using integrated amplification, A/D conversion, automatic PC analysis and FFT, it forms an electroencephalogram displayed with colour depth. It is applicable for checking diseases such as epilepsy, intracranial inflammation, cerebrovascular diseases and brain tumours.
Key features
- International standard 10/20 electrode placement. Leads can be changed during playback, and different types of combined leads are supported during sampling.
- Bioelectricity amplifier for extracting brainwaves, with continuous recording time of up to 24 hours and an integrated fully automatic calibration system.
- Playback function with adjustable amplitude and display speed. A subdividing time line divides one second of waveform into 5 parts to make the waveform easier to review.
- Digital filter system that can be set as required, with different window types.
- EEG signal clipping: any section of the EEG wave can be analysed and stored, and several waveform segments can be selected for automatic analysis and extraction of different parameters.
- Electronic frequency ruler and partial enlarging window for measuring EEG period, amplitude and frequency of any chosen waveform.
- Events such as eyes open, eyes closed and flashing are marked in different colours. User-defined events can be added and the waveform colour for evoked events can be set, so the corresponding waveform can be found by event name during case playback.
- Automatic analysis including power spectrum analysis and pathologic wave detection for a chosen waveform. Several graphs can be shown on the same screen, including BEAM types, numerical BEAM, compressed spectrum graph and trend graph.
- Professional isolation transformer, dual power supply isolation system and optoelectronic data transmission for safety. Data is transmitted over a USB interface.
- Multifunctional USB flash stimulator, controlled manually or automatically. A flash stimulation scheme can be set and performed during sampling.
- Case management with case export and import, and storage on MO or CD-RW disk for data research.
- Combined image and text report that can be edited in a template and switched to a Word document.
- Case files can be converted to EDF and BDF data formats for data exchange, academic exchange and further analysis.
- System parameters and display modes can be set to suit the user.
- Marks and annotations can be added to designated waveforms so the waveform at that time can be found quickly.
- Optional video function: a USB camera allows browsing of the waveform at any time together with the corresponding synchronously sampled image.
- Optional SpO2 function.
- Not all optional functions are available in all regions.
Applications
- Checking diseases such as epilepsy, intracranial inflammation, cerebrovascular diseases and brain tumours.
